Rocher Deboule's Artillery Peak manganese property is within a few hours of Goldrea's Goldrush and Goldchain properties, near Kingman, Arizona. Molycor's Tami-Mosi manganese/molybdenum property is about a 6-hour drive from Kingman, north of Las Vegas. I visited all three of these properties a few weeks ago. The properties I visited are all part of Larry Reaugh's plan for world domination. Well ok, maybe I made up the world domination part. The Reaugh Group consists of three companies headed by Mr. Reaugh: Rocher Deboule (TSX.V:RD), Goldrea (TSX.V: GOR), and Molycor Gold Corp (TSX.V:MOR). Adanac Moly was a part of this group until early 2008. The Reaugh Group of companies holds a total of more than 20 properties, targeting a variety of minerals.
I visited one property belonging to each company, those in light green below.
Mr. Reaugh's bio is available on the Goldrea site, so I'll just repeat a few details along with info I gleaned in talking to him. He earned his stripes the old-fashioned way, something I think greatly enhances the abilities of a leader in any field. Six months as a warehouseman at the tender age of 19, he moved on to pit sorting, surveying and exploration, and safety engineer, ultimately founding an exploration/drilling company with Lorne Spence. In 1979 Mr. Reaugh sold his rigs and moved to the corporate side. Mr. Reaugh has racked up an impressive record. Over the course of his career he has raised approximately US$200 million for junior mining companies. Mr. Reaugh's companies made three new discoveries which went into production: BVO (developed by the defunct Rea Gold Corp), Samatosum Deposit (Rea Gold Corp), and Bella Vista (Gold Rea) in Costa Rica under Midland Gold Corp. He purchased a further four major deposits, two of which have gone into production: Bissett Gold Mine (Rea Gold Corp) and QR Gold Deposit (Rea Gold Corp). This does not include the Victoria Mine in Nevada on which new reserves were discovered by Gold Rea and the company now known as Adanac. Not least, Larry Reaugh is a heck of a nice guy who surrounds himself with great people and who clearly loves what he does. I really enjoyed touring the three properties and the related discussions with all of the Reaugh Group folks. I do not own shares in any of the Reaugh Group companies, nor am I affiliated with any Reaugh Group companies. The articles below were written based upon observation, research, and Q&A with relevant parties, viewed from my perspective and filtered by my own limited understanding. Please do your own due diligence. --Rebecca Bartlett, Montevideo, Uruguay This article is the introduction for a three-part series on Reaugh Group properties:
